Friendly reminder, garbage pickup and landscape waste pickup is tomorrow. Please set out your cans no later than 6am!

Good morning residents,
The weather getting warmer again, but this can also mean an influx of unpermitted peddlers in the Village.
Please keep in mind that we always post on our Facebook page and Village App when we have approved permits so residents are aware.
What to do if you encounter an unpermitted peddler:
1. Ask for their permit. We instruct all approved peddlers to keep it with them.
2. If they cannot produce a permit:
• Option A: Politely tell them to go to Village Hall to obtain a permit.
• Option B: If you encounter problems with a peddler in any way, you can call the Peoria County Sheriff’s non-emergency line: (309) 697-8515.
We also encourage you to reach out to the Village with the company name and license plate number if you can.

Friendly Reminder!
Did you receive postcard indicating you own a property eligible for the 2026 BDD and/or TIF Grant Program? If so, you may apply prior to the April 30, 2026, deadline. Applications are available at Village Hall or on the website hannacityil.com. These programs and related funding are available to VOHC residents and business owners due to the planning and preparation of the Village Board and Community & Economic Development Council. The establishment of both the Tax Increment Finance District (TIF) and the Business Development District (BDD) are the reason these and hopefully other programs are possible. The greater the support provided to local businesses, the greater the possibility of additional funding.
